When enrolled in an approved study away program, you will earn general liberal arts credit assuming you earn a ‘C-‘ or above in the coursework you complete and that coursework is within the liberal arts academic disciplines that we offer at Williams. These credits will not impact your GPA but the program name and ‘TR’ designation will be on your official Williams transcript. If you are seeking major credit, you must consult with the department directly for approval. We cannot process credits until we have an official transcript in the Study Away Office from your program/university. If you have any holds on your account from your program, that could delay your transcript being sent. Make sure to clear all holds with your program directly.
On Williams programs (Williams-Mystic and the Williams Exeter Programme at Oxford), you will earn Williams credits and grades which will be factored into your overall GPA.
The evaluation of your program is a vital part of the study abroad process, and your transcript will not be evaluated for credit by the CAS until you have submitted a program evaluation form to the Office of International Education and Study Away.
